Warranty
At Mucky Nutz, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products. We want you to have confidence when purchasing from us, which is why we offer a warranty against manufacturing defects.
Nothing in this warranty affects your statutory rights.
Warranty Coverage
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
This warranty applies to products purchased directly from Mucky Nutz or through an authorised stockist or dealer.
The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
What's Covered
Our warranty covers:
- manufacturing defects;
- material defects; and
- workmanship defects.
What's Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
- normal wear and tear;
- damage caused by misuse, abuse or neglect;
- damage caused by incorrect installation or use;
- modification or alteration of the product;
- damage resulting from accidents, crashes or impacts;
- cosmetic damage arising from normal use; or
- custom, personalised or bespoke products, except where they are faulty, damaged on arrival, not as described or otherwise not supplied as agreed.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
Frame Contact, Paintwear & Protective Film
Mucky Nutz products are designed to be fitted to bicycles and, depending on the product and installation, may come into contact with bicycle frames, forks or related surfaces.
Over time, contact points may cause cosmetic wear to paint, lacquer, coatings or finishes, including rubbing, scuffing or marking.
This can occur as a result of normal riding conditions, vibration, micro-movement, dirt, grit or general use.
Reasonable cosmetic wear arising from normal use does not, by itself, indicate a manufacturing defect and is not normally covered under warranty.
To help minimise cosmetic wear, riders may choose to use suitable frame-protection film, padding or other protective materials beneath contact points.
Compatibility and results can vary depending on frame material, paint finish, lacquer, coating and the protection material used.
Mucky Nutz does not guarantee the suitability, compatibility, effectiveness or removal characteristics of third-party protection materials.
We recommend that riders:
- assess the suitability of any protective material before use;
- follow the manufacturer’s fitting instructions;
- test on a small, inconspicuous area where appropriate;
- ensure surfaces are clean before installation; and
- periodically check mounting and contact points for dirt, grit, movement and wear.
Nothing in this section excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Making a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product has a fault covered by warranty, please contact us before returning anything.
Please provide:
- your order number or proof of purchase;
- a clear description of the issue; and
- photographs showing the product and the suspected defect.
We may request further information where necessary to help us assess the claim.
Assessment and Approval
We will review the information provided and let you know whether the issue appears to qualify under warranty.
Please do not return a product until we have provided return instructions.
Where a return is required and the warranty claim is approved, we will provide details of how to return the product.
Where return postage reimbursement has been agreed, please retain and provide proof of the postage cost.
Warranty Resolution
Where a valid warranty claim is confirmed, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include:
- repair;
- replacement with the same or an equivalent product; or
- a refund where repair or replacement is not appropriate or possible.
The remedy offered will depend on the circumstances of the claim and your applicable statutory rights.
Purchases from Stockists or Dealers
If you purchased your product from an authorised stockist, dealer or other retailer, please contact the business you purchased it from in the first instance to arrange a warranty claim.
You may still contact us for product advice or assistance.
